Ikoku Meiro no Croisee
The story takes place in the second half of the 19th century, as Japanese culture gains popularity in the West. A young Japanese girl, Yune, accompanies a French traveller, Oscar, on his journey back to France, and offers to help at the family's ironwork shop in Paris. Oscar's nephew and shopowner Claude reluctantly accepts to take care of Yune, and we learn how those two, who have so little in common, get to understand each other and live together in the Paris of the 1800s.
Yuzu’s Overview:
We’re in about the 5th episode so far, and I can honestly tell you I’m lovin it. (Like McDonalds ;D )) I’m absolutely loving Yune, and her adorable chibi Japanese girly aura, and Claude. The way he’s drawn and animated in the anime looks so much like Howl from Howl’s Moving Castle with blond hair is INSANE. Instant love. Not to mention the completely sweet moments that Yune and Claude Claudel (Seriously, that’s actually his last name) have, despite the total age gap.
The other old pervert looking guy in the background is Claude Claudel’s uncle, as his parents died, and he is the one who brought Yune to Claude. ( ITS TRUE LOVE FOREVER, I SWEAR IT. ) and the blonde girl is this Oriental loving wannabe.
