Yuzu's Summer Anime '11 Overview

So, within the first month of the new Summer anime of '11, I've pulled up this beautiful (not really) blog for you guys to read about what I've been watching, and suggestions if you might wanna watch it, or if you read this, and you do watch it... so. mull about it, and see if you like!
On with the show :D
((It is a little rushed, as you can see, but exam time IS coming soon, so hopefully I'll be back with some new things~~ ))

Ikoku Meiro no Croisee
The story takes place in the second half of the 19th century, as Japanese culture gains popularity in the West. A young Japanese girl, Yune, accompanies a French traveller, Oscar, on his journey back to France, and offers to help at the family's ironwork shop in Paris. Oscar's nephew and shopowner Claude reluctantly accepts to take care of Yune, and we learn how those two, who have so little in common, get to understand each other and live together in the Paris of the 1800s.
Yuzu’s Overview:
We’re in about the 5th episode so far, and I can honestly tell you I’m lovin it. (Like McDonalds ;D )) I’m absolutely loving Yune, and her adorable chibi Japanese girly aura, and Claude. The way he’s drawn and animated in the anime looks so much like Howl from Howl’s Moving Castle with blond hair is INSANE. Instant love. Not to mention the completely sweet moments that Yune and Claude Claudel (Seriously, that’s actually his last name) have, despite the total age gap.
The other old pervert looking guy in the background is Claude Claudel’s uncle, as his parents died, and he is the one who brought Yune to Claude. ( ITS TRUE LOVE FOREVER, I SWEAR IT. ) and the blonde  girl is this Oriental loving wannabe.

They aren’t as important as Yune or Claude. But the blonde girl displays these obnoxiously lesbian moments with Yune, and pretty much ignorantly tears Yune away from Claude, because of how cute the little Oriental girl is.
The episodes have been going pretty decently, it moves alright as it mainly states how Claude and Yune start to understand it each other, and the drama happens once in a while. There is no specific plot line besides the understanding, which wavers a little for me, but overall, I definitely am enjoying it. I’d suggest it for people who might enjoy a little splash of history, and slice of life, and if you’re a die hard fangirl for shipping, its the best thing ever~
((It’s first on my priority list.))

KamiSama no Memochou

Adaptation from the light novel of the same name-a heartfelt series that revolves around a student who happens to intrude upon a NEET detective and became her assistant.
Yuzu’s overview:
Exactly what the summary says. The main character gets slammed down a lot. However, he gets points for being a bit of a bishounen.
Alice is the NEET detective. I enjoy her hair...
Since there’s only 3 episodes of it so far, the story line is a little jumbled up. From going to one story to another. Its a bit confusing, but overall I still enjoy little moments of it. Suggested for people who like mystery~

Nekogami Yaoyorozu

Koyama Yuzu is running an antique shop. Mayu, a cat god (nekogami), is living off Yuzu and leads an idle life playing games. Lots of other gods visit Mayu and enjoy merrymaking.
Yuzu’s overview:
Also exactly what the summary says it is. It’s a bit random, a little crack, but amusing, and something I’d like to watch more of.
Nothing much to really write about it. But I secretly enjoy it. Suggested for crack consuming people!

Mayo Chiki

The story revolves around the life of a 17 year old young man named Subaru Konoe, who is the butler of one of his classmates, Kanade Suzutsuki. The story has a dramatic turn when a boy named Kinjiro Sakamachi discovers Subaru's well-protected secret : that "he" is actually a girl.
Yuzu’s overview:
Girl crossdressing as a guy, falling in love with the guy who finds out she’s a girl, a sadist ‘mistress’ who watches over them, and the little sister of the guy falling in love with the crossdresser.
A little confusing, but utterly amusing.
A little bit of boob squishing, shipping, and overall cuteness swirled in with short sexual scenes. Oh and a whole lot of blood from Kanade.
Again, based off a manga. If you like crossdressers, sadists and amusing scenes with stuff ups, this is right up your alley. If you love seriousness, you might find a little pleasure in this, but I think most people should be able to watch this. Unless you don’t like crossdressers, sadists and sex fantasies.
((WARNING, ITS EXPLICIT ENOUGH WITH THE SEXUAL FANTASIES.))

THE IDOLM@STER
Based on the XBOX 360 game The iDOLM@STER 2, The iDOLM@STER follows 13 aspiring idols aiming to reach their goals.

Yuzu’s overview:
Another apt description. Pretty slice of life ish. I like it, its cute, its a little funny, and has a lot of diverse personalities within 13 different girls.
I would definitely say a favourite is Takane, but for no explicit reason. (It’s the hair.)
Besides that, I think its just slice of life, and you’ll enjoy this if you enjoy the game. Not a lot of plot or content, but its nice, so another one I’m just following because I like it.
