Yuzu's Summer Anime '11 Overview

So, within the first month of the new Summer anime of '11, I've pulled up this beautiful (not really) blog for you guys to read about what I've been watching, and suggestions if you might wanna watch it, or if you read this, and you do watch it... so. mull about it, and see if you like!
On with the show :D
((It is a little rushed, as you can see, but exam time IS coming soon, so hopefully I'll be back with some new things~~ ))

Ikoku Meiro no Croisee
The story takes place in the second half of the 19th century, as Japanese culture gains popularity in the West. A young Japanese girl, Yune, accompanies a French traveller, Oscar, on his journey back to France, and offers to help at the family's ironwork shop in Paris. Oscar's nephew and shopowner Claude reluctantly accepts to take care of Yune, and we learn how those two, who have so little in common, get to understand each other and live together in the Paris of the 1800s.
Yuzu’s Overview:
We’re in about the 5th episode so far, and I can honestly tell you I’m lovin it. (Like McDonalds ;D )) I’m absolutely loving Yune, and her adorable chibi Japanese girly aura, and Claude. The way he’s drawn and animated in the anime looks so much like Howl from Howl’s Moving Castle with blond hair is INSANE. Instant love. Not to mention the completely sweet moments that Yune and Claude Claudel (Seriously, that’s actually his last name) have, despite the total age gap.
The other old pervert looking guy in the background is Claude Claudel’s uncle, as his parents died, and he is the one who brought Yune to Claude. ( ITS TRUE LOVE FOREVER, I SWEAR IT. ) and the blonde  girl is this Oriental loving wannabe.

30-Sai Hoken Taiiku

I would like to do a little highlight on one of the little animes that might have gone unnoticed till now.
It's 30-Sai Hoken Taiiku.
Now the OP and ED are the full songs but they're nice, and not badly animated/not boring.
Curiously, each ED is animated differently every time, outlining Andou and Imagawa's story/life? in a way.
Sadly, it's not well known, so it is translated around nearly 5 days later than 1 or 2.
However, look forward to maybe a little analysis of the OP and ED or some song reviews.
Any suggestions?
Would love to hear 'em.

Spring Anime '11~

This season, they've been rollin' up some pretty bangin' animes!
We're going to be following quite a few (which pretty much means more than one) and it'll be pretty awesome >D
For what we've discussed, Illuminya will be following and reviewing Dog Days, Your Pants will be doing Toriko and co-reviewing Dog Days and maybe something else.... Your Mom will be doing Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi and Alazarelle willbe doing Ao No Exorcist. I will be doing anything else as well, but expect some random blogs of old animes that I adore, and maybe Ano Hana once in a while. Maybe even 30-Sai no Hoken Taiiku! -fistpump-

Anyways, Ano Hana's been one of the best so far (that I've watched) and it's definitely going to be a favorite for a long time.
Maria Holic Alive seems very tempting as well, and Maria Holic was pretty good in itself xD I am half following it, but I'm still completing Maria Holic.
30-sai no Hoken Taiiku... Just. Wow xD I honestly love how there's a sweet love story which is being corrupted by perverted sex gods... But it's overall such a cute story with something just.. attention drawing.
Hen Zemi was a hit or miss sorta thing.. Checking out one episode might not be the most accurate view I can give you on it, but I can say the pace of it is relatively slow, but I don't mind slow. I just hate it when nothing interesting fills the gaps. Although in some places it seems worth watching, in the most part I don't feel like it'll be my style.
Nichijou.. is really cute. And I love slices of life. However, there's something about it that isn't completely memorable for me, and I tend to be able to stray from it very quickly, as Ano Hana was the more interesting choice. The humor definitely is very adorable and somewhat quirky though, so I'll be following up on it if I have time.

But for now, that's my side of things so. :D
HAPPY SPRING ANIME SEASON XD

Starry Sky 3

INTRO THOUGHTS: urm. Capricorn's story was really stalkerish and cliche, so I'm going to ignore it.

Episode focus: Aquarius= Tsubasa.
So the episode starts off with this intense opening by Aquarius and a shot of the stars.
It starts off by showing a kid Tsubasa, and women gossiping about him.
At this point, he looks really cute, just tinkering away at this toy thing.
And Jun Azusa shows up, asking kid Tsubasa what it is. He shows him his invention, and Azusa and him start to bond. It's a watering machine.
at which point they look incredibly cute.
8D
Tsubasa says: I is not amused...
And then Azusa goes off about how everyone's unique, and they greet each other AS FRIENDSS <3
AHHH HE'S SO CUTE.

And so they shake. Tsubasa laughs, and a bunch of cute bonding follows.
its too cute.
can't describe how cute it is.
-weeps-
Then, older Tsubasa steps into school and is stalked by Aries.
AND.
he meets Azusa again.
LOVER'S FATED MEETING?
((nah, it's only a fangirl's mind xD))
They shake again.
It's kinda funny how short Azusa is.
O.o
But it's cute how well Azusa knows Tsubasa and how Tsubasa cares for Asuza.
((PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEMAKETHEMGAYFOREACHOTHER))
We see Kazuki stride on stage looking all epic and appoints Tsubasa as the treasurer.
The rest happens, Tsubasa is DRAGGED AWAY FROM AZUSA >(
and he meets the student council, they have a good time, they meet a bump in the road, he gets banned from doing inventions by our possibly gay  metrosexual Virgo.
And it ends.

End Thoughts: Well, the later part is more to make it so there's relatively SOME plot in his story, although I really preferred the friendship between Tsubasa and Azusa.
But I guess Aries is cool, Virgo seems like a bit of a bitch, Aquarius is HELLA CUTE AND SWEET AND KIND AND WEIRDLY UNIQUE XD and Sagittarius is all his.
>D
((fangirls never shut up xD))
But it's alright. Very cute, takes a turn for the better and isn't completely cliche.
I mean, the only thing that HINTS towards love to the girl is in one sentence in the second part of this story!
YES. I LOVE AQUARIUS.
kinda.
Makes him less desperate though.
-claps excitedly-
xD
and so that's all, I'll be back with another episode soon~

~WINTER SEASON~

So. The winter season of anime.
Definitely not impressed at all.
I sped through a few of the names and none of them really interested me.
Level E sounds alright, but the rest of them were a bit. Killjoy.
Starry Sky's new episode 3. Aha xD they shouldn't have made it a harem. Too bad yaoi didn't make it >D
Really.
So much of those secretive little UST/BL moments.
yes.
xD
Half the fangirls are BL fangirls.
And of all my friends, I think all of them are BL fangirls ||D
Anyways.
BACK ON TO TOPIC.
none of them are really interesting.
So I'm probably only following one new anime again this season (Starry Sky) until Level E really does catch my attention or another anime picks up the pace and makes me go WOW 8D
-Yuzu
((ANYONE LIKE POKEMON? I'VE BEEN STUCK WITH A POKEMON JUNKIE WHO'S BOUGHT HALF THE POKEMON CENTER. HOWEVER, WISH ME LUCK AS I ENTER THE ANIME SHOP AND SCREAM DOWN THE BUILDING XD))

HAPPY NEW YEAR ^^

Yes, we lack in the spirit and festivities department, ((well. I do)) and we're all busy and making our own plans..
..
not to mention that all manga was not out on Christmas..
..
although Starry Sky was..
..
We. Well. I feel the need to say HAPPY NEW YEAR :) to you all.
<3
It's been pretty hectic, and I have been secretly planning this for a long time..

I don't know.
Well.
I'd like to encourage you guys to add these animes on your list ((because I'm a bit biased))
-Arakawa Under The Bridge x Bridge
-Yojouhan Shinwa Takei/The Tatami Galaxy

Tatami Galaxy is definitely something I really like. A lot of people are pushed away by it's somewhat odd animation, creepy styles/music and 'lack of plot' but that's what I feel really gives Tatami it's attractiveness. It's deeper than it looks, holds a lot of meaning and life lessons by our Protagonist's senpai, and should be something you should check out and give it a try, because how often do you see anime like that? :)

Arakawa is another one of those unique ones you need to check out. First AND second season. It's humor is unique to few who are completely random and unwired, and so cute. The leading characters, Ric/Ko Ichinomiya and Nino(Resident Venusian and completely cute) interact wonderfully, Nino giving us the adorable cute-ness and Ric giving us the 'common sense' he owns. What he deals with being with Nino~. We also have our awesome side characters, Hoshi ((who'd do anything to get with our beloved Nino)), Mayor ((Who's a 620 year old Kappa/youkai)), Sister ((A man dressed as a nun who's 'holy' and uses guns in mass)), Maria ((Who has Sister wrapped around her pinky, poisoned mouth but incredibly beautiful)) and lots more~
((Why yes, I will talk about Stella :) .. Someday.))

So I hope my little review littered with some horrendous typos will be able to convince you to check it out!
^^
HAPPY.NEW.YEARS.

Arakawa Under The Bridge x Bridge 9

SO I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO BLOGGING :D
Yes yes, I have started on holidays.
After being declared unworthy by metanorn..
But that's not the point!
Anyways, ONWARD >D
(I'll post screencaps later GOMEN D:)

SO XD
----
The episode starts with a rather good opening (well. Personal opinion) because of all the pretty dresses and elegant animation. The girls describe the boys as princes while they all dream about something sweet. I quite liked it.. and it was rather a change from the original type of opening centered around Ric.

-OPENING MUSIC -

We're greeted by a poor man running out of the church (it's Sister's church. Who ISN'T scared?) and Stella, along with Sister, run out after him, in pursuit, only to find out... he's gotten away. Ric is creepishly conveniently walking past by, until he watched the events play out rather calmly. I imagine one would have to get used to it. hum de dum.
So we continue on this, until we find a PARCEL.
OH DEARZ. WHAT IS THIS??
-picks up the parcel, and epic music plays-
OHHH ITS A.
letter for Shiro san.
..
Stella and Sister paranoidly fuss over it (IT'S DANGEROUS!!) while Ric decides to hand it over to Shiro san. As he walks, he finds that the letter is from his wife, and he imagines all sort of horrible things.  Then he spots the words. IMPORTANT LETTER.
DUN DUN DUNNNN~
what will happen to the poor Shiro san? Is his wife REALLY cheating on divorcing him??
Ric once again stresses out while walking to Shiro san only to find him with none other than the blushing Shimazaki. She informs Ric, and they have a long winded discussion, while they all seem to miss each other's points completely. -snickers- Bishie looking Shiro chan and his long eyelashes. Smoothh Shimazaki, smooth.
Oh, don't forget about the compliments Shiro san gives to the already swooning Shimazaki.
I repeat: smooothhh...
Oh and then Ric finds out Shimazaki fell for Shiro san. After asking him weird questions.
(What do I mean to you, Coach?)
Shiro san tells Shimazaki he wants to walk beside her forever.
But he's being misleading.
So Ric tries to scare Shiro san by telling him that the 'divorce papers' are arriving, but tries not to let him read it.
It actually turns out to be a sweet letter from his wife, with the statement, I trust in you and love you no matter what you do.
-KAWAII. Q.Q-
Then the segment ends.

Excuse me while I try download the second part.

From Arakawa, with Love~

One of my FAVOURITE animes of all time?
Arakawa Under The Bridge.
Even better?
Arakawa Under The Bridge 2 plus lots of jpop updates.
What ruins it?
SCHOOL BLOCKING THE INTERNET FOR 'FILE TRANSFER SERVICES.
FUUUU-
Well anyways xD I'll try update soon, with a blog of Arakawa2's 7th ep :)
